OSTARA

One folklore associated with Ostara centers around the goddess Eostre and a wounded bird. Legend has it that Eostre found a bird in the winter snow, its wings frozen and unable to fly. Filled with compassion, she transformed the bird into a hare, allowing it to survive the harsh season.

Grateful for this act of kindness, the hare would lay vibrantly colored eggs as a gift to Eostre. This tale intertwines themes of compassion, transformation, and the symbolic elements of hares and eggs that have become integral to the modern celebration of Ostara and Easter.
